As the vast of reviewers mention, it is not the easiest task to speak with a live person at Arlo. The company offers a variety of contact methods for the qualified satisfaction of its users. Arlo customer service chat is one of them. By starting the chat, you select sub-items in the chat tips, as if taking a survey. And, if a solution has not been found, you can initiate communication with a representative during working hours. Arlo support chat is available Monday - Friday, 9 am - 5 pm.

The Arlo subscription cancellation process requires a few steps. Log in to your account at my.arlo.com, go to “Settings,” and find the Subscription section. Click the Cancel Subscription button and follow the instructions to confirm your decision.

To talk through your Arlo camera, open the Arlo Secure App on your mobile device or log in to your account at www.arlo.com. Select the camera feed you want to use and tap the microphone icon at the bottom. Press and hold the microphone icon to speak (for push-to-talk mode), or tap it once (for full-duplex mode) to start a conversation. Make sure your device has a working microphone and that the Arlo app has permission to use it.

To reset your Arlo camera using the Arlo Secure App, log in to your account and select the My Devices tab in the Settings section. Choose the camera you want to reset and tap the Remove Device button to confirm. Go back to the Devices page, tap “Add New Device,” select your Arlo device and model, and follow the prompts to reconnect your camera to your Wi-Fi network, Base Station, or SmartHub.

To delete your account, log in on the Arlo website or through the Arlo Secure App. Go to the Settings page and click the Privacy Center link. Select the Delete Arlo Account option and follow the instructions to confirm the deletion. Before deleting your account, ensure you cancel any active Arlo subscriptions.

Arlo’s return policy allows you to return products purchased from their website within 30 days from the date of shipment. You need to contact Arlo’s Customer Support to initiate the return and obtain a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number. Note that the returned product must be in unused condition and in its original packaging. Once the return is received and processed, a refund will be issued to the original payment method within 5-10 business days.

Arlo does not provide meaningful CS. I took about a week to get a phone number that would get me to a person. I spoke to her yesterday but the problem is still not resolved . They will call me back.

Overall the experience has been horrible. I have been a customer for over 10 years and circa 2019 I got more cameras and because I had >5 was required to get a subscription, which I decided to do because it was about $13 but promised the ability to speak to a human CS rep if needed.

But I was always routed to a bot and the problems I had did not fit neatly into their boxes so I never could get an answer or a human rep. All links led to circular links or a disconnect. Messages left by email were answered with posted solutions that I had already tried and did not work. Then in 2024 I was constantly barraged to "upgrade, which I did not want to do.

Then I accidentally hit the button for the upgrade and it was a nighmare: The photos that used to be 1"x2" then became 1/2"X1" and difficult for me (a person with glaucoma) to see. They added a widget which I still don't understand. The entire operation that used to be simple changed to become difficult. I called Arlo back within 2 hours of this change and asked to go back to the previous simple format as I did not need their fancy additions.

I am not a techie. I want SIMPLICITY not more and more neat features. But Arlo refused to take it back even though it had only been 2 or 3 hours. I was told that they COULD NOT do it because all future programs would be the new format.

BUT LAST WEEK MY FRIEND GOT 5 ARLO CAMERAS AND THE SET UP WAS ON THE OLD FORMAT THAT THEY REFUSED TO GIVE BACK TO ME.
ARLO needs to:
1. Make CS real with NATIVE ENGLISH SPEAKERS.
2. STOP HIDING PHONE NUMBERS that take you to people who know something and are NOT reading algorhythms.
3. Stop making use of the app more complex and think about the fact that most customers want SIMPLICITY.

Your task is to serve the needs and desires of the CUSTOMERS NOT YOURSELF. CONSIDER PEOPLE WHO HAVE VISUAL IMPAIRMENTS and difficulty seeing mini micro photos. Why are you exempt from assisting the visually disabled?
4. Offer us the ability to get people who can come on site to help if needed even when we are willing to pay for it.
ARLO USED TO BE GOOD WHEN I FIRST USED THEM CIRCA 2014 BUT WHOEVER HAS DECIDED TO DO AWAY WITH PERSONAL CS AND TURN CS OVER TO BOTS AND ADD COMPLEXITY NEEDS TO BE FIRED.

READ THE REVIEWS!!! READ HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE TRASHED THEIR ARLO CAMERAS TO MOVE TO RING OR SOMETHING ELSE.

There is no customer service. This has been going on for 2 years. I assumed cameras didn’t work but when I got an email about a trial subscription I am once again trying to get confirmation no service is wanted for these cameras!
